Words cannot describe over two decades of personal Chronic Lyme Borreliosis and other multiple systemic chronic coinfections transmitted by ticks. Did you know that ticks transmit over 20 pathogens to humans? These include bacterial, viral, and parasitic pathogens like worms and other protozoans [1,2,3].
Since 2000, the yearly contact with ticks caused me a gradual deterioration of my mental, physical, and social life. In March 2015, I received the diagnosis of Chronic Neuroborreliosis. It came with Multiple Systemic Infections from a retired neurosurgeon. He attended a European Vector Borne Diseases ILADS course organized yearly by ILADS.org.
It took me a decade to be healthy. My recovery was a long marathon with many twists and turns. This was despite my medical training. Many say that Lyme Borreliosis is incurable, but TICK bite is only a ‘’LIFE CHANGER’’. No matter of disease, HEALTH doesn’t happen OVERNIGHT. There is no shortcut. So, ‘breath in’ and ‘keep fighting’ every day. It is all up to yourself, to become healthy.
